Responsibilities & Services
The Dallas Municipal Court prosecutes traffic, ordinance violations and certain misdemeanors occurring within the City limits. The court has jurisdiction over all City offenses and state violations and misdemeanor offenses committed within the City limits of Dallas.
Court is held every Thursday at 9 a.m., in the Council Chambers on the second floor of Dallas City Hall. The Courtroom is wheelchair accessible.

Special Accommodations
A Spanish interpreter is available upon request. Interpreter services and special needs can usually be accommodated if the Court is notified two weeks in advance.
Courtroom Code of Conduct
No food, gum, or drinks
No shorts, tank tops, or muscle shirts
No hats or head coverings unless worn for religious or medical purposes
Turn off cell phones and recording devices
Do not attempt to make contact with inmates. You may be removed from the courtroom.
