Municipal Court

Responsibilities & Services

The Dallas Municipal Court prosecutes traffic, ordinance violations and certain misdemeanors occurring within the City limits. The court has jurisdiction over all City offenses and state violations and misdemeanor offenses committed within the City limits of Dallas.

Court is held every Thursday at 9:00 am, in the Council Chambers on the second floor of Dallas City Hall. The Courtroom is wheelchair accessible. Make an online payment.

Staff

Municipal Court is presided over by Honorable Judge Jonathan Clark. The City Prosecutor is Mr. Moe Brown. To contact our staff, please call 503.831.3576.  

Special Accommodations

A Spanish interpreter is available upon request. Interpreter services and special needs can usually be accommodated if the Court is notified two weeks in advance.  

Courtroom Code of Conduct

  • No food, gum, or drinks
  • No shorts, tank tops, or muscle shirts
  • No hats or head coverings unless worn for religious or medical purposes
  • Turn off cell phones and recording devices
  • Do not attempt to make contact with inmates. You may be removed from the courtroom.
