Peace Pole Project

With a desire to strengthen relationships and build goodwill and peace throughout our community and the world, the City of Dallas City Council is proud to announce its participation the May Peace Prevail on Earth International Peace Pole Project.

What is a Peace Pole?

May Peace Prevail on Earth International says, "A Peace Pole is an internationally-recognized symbol of the hopes and dreams of the entire human family, standing vigil in silent prayer for peace on earth. Each Peace Pole bears the message May Peace Prevail on Earth in different languages on each of its four or six sides. There are estimated over 250,000 Peace Poles in every country in the world dedicated as monuments to peace."

Where are Peace Poles in Dallas?

The City of Dallas currently has five Peace Poles that have been planted. They are located at the Dallas High School, LaCreole Middle School, Rotary Park, City Hall, and near the Dallas Fire & EMS Buildings (NW intersection of Shelton Avenue and Washington Street). The Dallas Rotary Club has a goal to plant 20 Peace Poles in the City by June 30, 2022.
