Building Division

The Building Department takes in applications online through the Oregon ePermitting system, as follows:

  • Register for an account, apply for permits, upload documents, payment portal, email communication, schedule inspections, etc.
  • This site allows homeowners and licensed contractors to apply for building permits with a computer or mobile device.
  • Each participating city or county determines which permits are available for sale online.
  • Homeowners can pull their own permits and will need to file a Homeowner Acknowledgement Form in the process.
  • A contractor's License Type determines what type of permit they are allowed to submit.  Verification of Contractor Licenses  from BCD is strongly encouraged.

Oregon ePermitting website provides detailed instructions and the staff offers excellent account assistance for customers.
