Dallas Water

Providing residents and businesses in the Dallas water service area with safe, dependable, high-quality water at a reasonable cost is a top priority. The City of Dallas delivers water to more than 16,000 people every day, and we think it is important for our customers to understand where their water comes from, how safe it is, and what actions we take to ensure its continuing high quality.

Water Source

The City of Dallas is fortunate to use surface water from Rickreall Creek and the Rickreall Watershed.  A Source Water Assessment of the City's watershed area was conducted in 2003 and is available at the Dallas Public Library.

Water Testing

In order to ensure that tap water is safe to drink, the EPA prescribes regulations that limit the amount of certain contaminants in water provided by the public water systems. The Food and Drug Administration regulations establish limits for contaminants in bottled water that must provide similar protection to public health. The City provides testing for both regulated and unregulated contaminants. Many of the substances that have been detected in your drinking water compared to the regulatory standards, are listed in the Water Quality Report.

Please visit the Oregon Public Health Drinking Water Data website for more information about the drinking water in Dallas.

Oregon Health Authority

Oregon Drinking Water Services (DWS) administers and enforces drinking water quality standards for public water systems in the state of Oregon. Please visit the Oregon Health Authority website for more information about drinking water standards.
